20,000 POSTAL AND RMS EMPLOYEES WILL MARCH TO PARLIAMENT

TO PROTEST AGAINST THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDE OF THE GOVERNMENT TOWARDS POSTAL EMPLOYEES INCLUDING GRAMIN DAK SEWAKS AND CASUAL LABOURERS

December 4th is nearing. Massive preparation are going on in every circle of the country. We are receiving very encouraging reports from circles. Kerala Circle which is far away from Delhi (Up & Down Six days train journey) has already booked ticket for 600 comrades. Total expenditure for Kerala Circle alone will come to Rs. 24,00,000/- (Rs. Twenty Four Lakhs). From Tamilnadu Circle also more than 400 comrades have already booked their tickets. Highest number of employees will participate from nearby circles of Delhi i.e. Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand etc. All other circles are also trying their best to mobilize maximum number of employees in the March.

Please ensure that number of employees as per the Quota fixed by the CHQ of each affiliated union participate in the historic parliament march WITHOUT FAIL.Please rise up to occasion. Wake up and act as responsible leaders of NFPE.

COMMEMORATIVE STAMP ON LIVER TRANSPLANT RELEASED

The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications & IT has brought out a Commemorative Postage Stamp on Liver Transplantation in India.The Commemorative Postage stamp on Liver Transplantation in India was released today by the Minister for Communications &IT and Law &Justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad in the presence of Member Postal Service Board, Shri S.K.Sinha and Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group Dr. Prathap.C.Reddy who pioneered liver transplantation in India.Sanjay Kandaswamy, the patient who undergone first successful liver transplantation in India in 1998 was also present on the occasion and minister was delighted to see him hale and hearty.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister spoke about release of a commemorative postage stamp as mission statement of recognition of extraordinary initiatives by extraordinary people endowed with extraordinary talent. He observed that organ transplant including liver transplant is a super speciality area of operation though a lot needs to be done to make organ transplant low cost and affordable and exhorted medical community to explore the possibility of public private partnership in this respect.

The minister talked about developing digital infrastructure and associating it seamlessly with health care to make available latest health facilities inclusive and accessible to the common man. He also spoke at length about the people oriented initiatives of the government and cited examples from my gov. and Jana dhana Yojana which have galvanised people’s cooperation and involvement in the schemes dedicated to their development and progress.

ALL INDIA TRADE UNION EDUCATION CAMP
BANGALORE, JANUARY 5 & 6, 2015

Dear Comrades,

As decided in the Secretariat Meeting, the next All India Trade Union Education Camp of Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers will be held on 5th and 6th January, 2015.  The Karnataka Unit of the Confederation has come forward to host the said camp at Bangalore on the above days and  started the Preparatory work for the programme.  It should be the endeavour of all affiliates and State Units of the Confederation to depute the given number of delegates to the camp and make it a grand success. The quota fixed for each affiliate/COC is given below.  Detailed programme & notice will be sent shortly.  TU Camp will commence at 10 AM on 5th January and continue till 5 PM on 6th January, 2014 and the delegates should ensure their presence throughout the duration of the Camp.   

Delegates from all affiliated organisations and C-O-Cs should compulsorily attend the TU camp.  The minimum quota fixed for each affiliated organisation and C-O-Cs is given below.  All are requested to ensure participation of delegates as per quota fixed, WITHOUT FAIL.  Delegates may be instructed to book their up and down tickets immediately. Delegate fee per head is Rs. 600/- (Rs. Six hundred only). All delegates, including All India office Bearers of Confederation should pay the delegate fee.

1.      NFPE  (60); ITEF (20); Audit & Accounts (10); Atomic Energy (10), Civil Accounts (10);
2.      All other affiliates (2 each);
3.      Confederation State Units: Bengal (10); Kerala (15); Karnataka (30); Tamilnadu (10); Andhra (10)
4.      All other State Units: (2 each).

NB:             While deciding the delegates, the concerned organisations shall include the All India Office Bearers of Confederation also in their quota since the number of delegates fixed above includes the Office Bearers of Confederation CHQ.
