Divisional level Workshop on CBS Finacle and PLI McCamish conducted by Bhubaneswar Division on 13.03.2016
Dear Comrades,
Observing the ongoing
problems arising out of CBS Finacle and PLI McCamish and the increasing gap in
between the administration and the operative staff to solve such problems, we
had requested the SSPOs, Bhubaneswar Division during last Union Meeting for
conducting a workshop so that each PA, SPM and Postmaster working on Finacle
and McCamish can participate in an interactive programme and the administration
will be able to realize the real
problems faced by the grass root level officials which may enable to prepare an
action plan for early solution of the problems possible at least within the
financial and administrative power of the Divisional administration. Giving due
honour to our request the SSPOs, Bhubaneswar Division organized a Divisional
level Workshop on 13.03.2016 in PR C. O / o the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle which
was participated by as many as 150 P As, SPMs and Postmasters of the Division
including the DDM(PLI), Circle Office, SSPOs and ASPOs(OD), Divisional Office, Sr.
Postmaster, Dy. Postmaster, PLI CPC Supervisor, Bhubaneswar GPO and CBS CPC
team of Odisha Circle and staff members
of DMCC, Odisha Circle.
The workshop continued
from 10 AM to 5 PM with registration of genuine difficulties of the P As/SPMs/Postmasters.
The officials were given chance to reflect their specific issues which were
duly recorded by the Divisional administration for taking further action. The
staff members raised the problems arising out of inadequate training, hardware
and technical support.
The queries of the
participating staff members were replied by the ASPOs(OD).
Some instant solutions
were provided by the CBS CPC team, Odisha Circle followed by nice suggestions to
handle some issues then and there at the time of performing transactions.
Similarly the Sr. Postmaster and PLI CPC Supervisor, Bhubaneswar GPO described
the errors committed by the S O units while undertaking indexing, collecting
premium etc.
Participating in the
discussion, Sri P K Pattnaik, SPM, Bapujinagar and President, AIPEU, Group-C,
Bhubaneswar Division opined that when it is a collective responsibility for
smooth operation of Finacle and McCamish, the exploitations to the P As are not
appreciable. The responsibilities are also to be shared equally by both the
operative and administrative staff.
On behalf of the entirety
of the staff members of Bhubaneswar Division, Sri B Samal, Postmaster,
Ashoknagar MDG and Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division
raised the common issues which are being confronted by the staff members in general. All the issues raised by each
individual staff member in the workshop have either been communicated through
several correspondences or discussed in the monthly union meetings. Sri Samal
requested the SSPOs to sum up all the issues and try to solve phase-wise
whatever possible within his competency and forward the rest to Circle Office /
CPC/DMCC or to any other appropriate level requesting early solution so that
the employees can be able to maintain the iconic status of India Post being responsive and reliable and
demonstrating high order of professionalism and transparency with smooth
implementation of I T Modernization Project, 2012. In addition, Sri Samal
stressed upon proper deployment of staff in all key positions so that there
will be no problem in future either for creation of user Id/Password or in
reliving arrangement. It was agreed upon to identify some important Post
Offices especially in rural areas as Crisis Management Centre to regulate the
work of a group of post offices nearby.
In his concluding speech,
the SSPOs assured the staff members to provide all possible assistances from
administrative side and expected the same from all staff members to make
Bhubaneswar the No.1 Division.
The arrangements made by
the staff members of Divisional Office were nice including lunch / snacks. On
behalf of the all the staff members, we convey our sincere thanks to the
organizers.
